Successful Veteran’s Job Fair @ OCC

Over 115 individuals attended the Veteran’s Job Fair that was held at the Orange County Campus on Wednesday, June 13th. Mary Moore, coordinator of the event, made the following statement “The employers and veterans were equally impressed, many job seeker’s got on site interviews and made great connections. Employers were impressed by the quality of the candidates, the breakout workshops we provided, and the wonderful location. They were very pleased and walked away with many good candidates to fill their positions.” One of the participants who won the hearts of many was Clay, a service dog, with Vets to Vets United, Inc.  Thanks also to News Channel 14 who covered the Veterans Job Fair. Veteran’s Job Fair @ OCC

More than 20 local employers will be attending the Veteran’s Job Fair held this Wednesday, June 13th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Orange County Campus.

Durham Technical Community College, in partnership with Chapel Hill Workforce Solutions (a division of the NC Department of Commerce) and the Orange County Skills Development Center JobLink will be sponsoring the event.
